(Still in progress) In this project, I made an animated title sequence for a story I made.
I've had the Tragedy of Mac on my mind for a while, and one day I hope to make it real. So, this is just a taste of what to expect from the story.
When approaching this animation, I took inspiration from retro movies. Oftentimes they would have entire credit sequences that would last for a few minutes before the movie would start. After thinking of all the events that would take place in the story, I used Flipaclip to make a rough animation of it. And then I found music that also fit the story. The Tragedy of Mac is a modern twist on a classic story, so it was only fitting to play a parody of a classic music piece.
Next, I remade everything as a vector graphic in Adobe Illustrator.
Finaly, I animated everything in Adobe After Effects.
The project was really fun to work on. And it really feels like the start of an early 2000s summer film to me.
